DESIGN: Butler pantry and other storage

What makes a perfect kitchen for me is the storage, the pantry, the places that I can store all my stuff!
My china, my serving dishes, by cake stands, by appliances, my silver, my food stuffs, my pots and pans..... all of it!
and I have a lot of kitchen stuff and guess what?
         I do use it all.

I have been collecting images for my perfect kitchen and I thought I would share some of these images for you!

I love the use of this bookcase to house all the appliances. What a great way to display them neatly and be able to grab them when needed.  I actually have a bookcase just like this in my kitchen now but am using it to house my cook book collection. (I have quite the collection of old cookery books) When I move, I may do this instead depends on the new kitchen!
This pantry below, is just divine! My complete organizational dream!! The jars to hold all your grains, rices, and pastas and baskets to hold all your onions, potatoes and other vegetables.

I love the simple colour scheme of the white, gray, and brown.  The simple shelving high lights the beautiful white dishes and glass ware! *sigh*

Sweet little butler pantry off the kitchen behind a closed door is very nice, just incase it gets a bit messy.  I love the glass door cabinets on either side of the door to house beautiful white plates, serving dishes and pitchers.

Another beautiful pantry off the kitchen!

This little spice rack is very sweet with the old apothecary jars to hold all the spices!  Great idea! I need to hit the flea markets this summer to see what I can find!

What do you collect? What is your perfect kitchen?
please share, would love to hear from you.

  1. HAPPY NEW YEAR Callie..!

Better late than never; I hope you've been well and had a super time over the holidays...
(I'll be back asap to catch up on your previous posts - this is just a quickie visit!)
Love your selection; I so agree, storage is so important -
I'm using, as a temporary solution, a selection of beautiful wine boxes (with the Chateau and fine wine name stamped on the outside) and yummy wicker baskets on pine shelves so that they look really chic but can be easily moved when we start our kitchen renovation.
    Be back asap..:)

  2. so many great storage solutions! and all displayed so lovely, I've always prefered to have things on display rather than hide them behind cardboards! these images just reminds me the finished effect is definitely worth the extra cleaning! ;)

  3. I don't really collect anything BUT people always give me French items... hmmmm... I wonder why... ;)
I have my perfect kitchen! I designed it myself and a FAB cabinet maker created my kitchen via my drawings!
    I adore my pantry too!

  4. The kitchen is my favorite part of a house! I really like that idea of using an open bookcase to tuck away all of your appliances. Lovely post!

  6. Your perfect kitchen is going to be gorgeous. My taste changes all the time, sometimes I think I'd love an all white kitchen, while other times I love really dark wood. I guess it just depends. I think they're both classy, so I guess I'll have to have two homes ;)

  7. I really want an island counter kind of thing so we could eat breakfast there but then my kitchen would have to be 10 times bigger. I would also like the pantry's though. :)

  8. These are great.. I have been thinking a lot about kitchens lately (since I have been slaving away in one so much lately) and planning my next one (not that I need a new one but hey its fun to do). It will def be all white and I will have some open cabinets and room for a big furniture piece, and will def need a giant pantry :)
    Happy New year!

  13. Oh, these are all lovely images! I never have enough room in the kitchen. I think my dream kitchen would have an enormous pantry and I love having pots hanging over my oven-especially if they are copper ones! Hope you had a good night Callie.

  14. Sigh...wouldn't it be lovely to have a kitchen as gorgeous as these, with space for each and every gadget, appliance, pot and pan? My cupboards are such a mess, I need to do some serious editing. but the trouble is, like you, I DO use it all! i guess i'll just have to move into a place with a bigger kitchen ;)
