This weekend was amazing.
The holiday was rocking and I was enjoying my new town!! The fireworks were popping and fizzing all day and night. The parade really rocked too!
Sunday I got up, ready to go.... I started a DIY project, inspired by Christina, Down and Out Chic. She has been doing the most amazing DIY projects....I love her little white table with the wall covering/paper top! and her lampshades.
So, I started my own project and hope to post soon. I found 5 dining chairs and decided to paint and re-upholster them to match my decor. Also, I went shopping a bought a 1950's bookshelf, thinking it would fit nicely in my entryway with a new lick of paint and a bright pop of colourful felt on the shelves to hold my shoes! ugggg, it is to big!!
so I went searching for some inspiration. And I still love this entry, found a similar table but it is already painted black, so I won't have to do a thing except pick it up from the antique shop.
I just wish my entry was a bit bigger! *sigh*
I do love the image above with the tartan hat hanging on the antler of the golden deer, and that table is stunning!
Be on the look out after this weekend, I will be posting photos of some of my DIY projects and what I have done to parts of my house:)
How was your weekend? What fun projects have you been working on....

ReplyDeletei can't wait to see your project, i know i will find them equally inspiring!
That first entry is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is very cool - love the antler horns above the table, xv.
ReplyDeletelove the idea of entryways and projects :) have fun putting it together and yes, please post photos of the fun you're having. i'm sure we will all be inspired by what you are tackling. i have been s-l-o-w-l-y working on an antique bureau that i'm refinishing. it's really fabulous and i need to get back to sanding. you've inspired me to get crackin'!
ReplyDeleteI like the 1st one, kind of quirky ya know. My birthday was wonderful thanks :)
ReplyDeletelove the top room, so gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteloving the last one with all that blue! i have a very small entry way—very badly lit and cramped, so there is not much i can do with it. i hung a couple of pictures and a some coat hooks. it's the best i could do. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finds! Love that last one!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your projects! And don't you hate when a piece is too big to fit in your space? Makes me want to grab a sledge hammer and just 'open things up' a little bit!
ReplyDeletelove your inspiration pic. Can't wait to see the outcome:)
