Happy Friday: lilacs

image from here by D. Sharon Pruitt, flickr

Today, I woke up to the lovely scent of lilacs!  My house is infused with the sweet pretty scent.  The lilac tree is taller than my house!! I picked numerous branches and placed them around and I am enjoying this lovely kick start for the weekend!!

Gardening is high on the list, a run in the woods with the pup and having drinks with friends.
What's on your list?

Happy Friday!

  2. Funny you post this, because I just did a post on lilacs for next week. It is the loveliest scent in the world. I am off to a Giants game for a birthday party and a baby shower this weekend. I need to fit in time for a hike this weekend too.

    Have a great one,
    Marcie

  3. Where I live it is not quite hot enough yet to get the lilacs to bloom, but it can´t be long. My weekend is going to be used on soccer with my boy, riding with my girl and myself zumba on Sunday. And then I get a visit from my father who lives in Greenland most of the time.

  4. I just got back from the grocery store, where I couldn't resist buying 2 bunches of white lilacs. Put away the groceries, arranged the flowers, opened my blog reader and saw your post. Sweet coincidence! They do smell amazing...

  8. How lovely! Over here they're still a month away. I love lilacs, too bad they never last indoors. Oh well, it's still worth it!
