DESIGN: Children Bedrooms and Spaces

When I was little, I danced and twirled around. Always performing.
I would have loved to have a room like this
with a corner stage for all my performances!

Christina at Down and Out Chic is always inspiring me!

She is amazingly creative and is always creating such pretty little items.
They make perfect gifts for sisters and friends, and for oneself! hehe
I wear her hair clips and I am always stopped... asked "Where did you get those adorable hair pins"
well, get on over to her site and get some for yourself.  And that necklace needs to be on my neck!!!

Creating a Beautiful Home by Alexandra Stoddard

One day I will have a vacay retreat as sweet at this!  Love the flagstone ground cover and the dark shingled cottage! Please don't miss that sweet number 2 birdhouse above the doors under the lacy trim!
I need to look at land up in Wisconsin to build this sweet little get away!  Lunch on the patio, with lots of wine!!!
so love this idea! What about you, do you dream of a retreat somewhere far away??

DESIGN: Beautiful outdoor spaces!!

How awesome is this space!! love that canopy, using branches and a stretch of canvas!! The cushions look like they are on painted palettes! Cosy golden pillows with the painted white tree stumbs! Such a perfect little spot!!  {image found here}

Can you imagine swinging in the breeze in this hammock book in one hand and a corona with lime in the other or glass of red wine watching the sun set!

I really love this built Moroccan inspired lounge area! Wish my back yard was bigger. How amazing would this be for a small gathering of friends serving fabulous food and drinks!  I would throw more pillows on the floor for additional seating with a low coffee table.

What are your ideal outdoor spaces?

BOOK REVIEW: Summer at Tiffany

Marjorie Hart

I am so excited to present my first book review, TLC Book Tours.

Summer at Tiffany is a memoir of Marjorie Hart.  This witty book tells of fun, adventure and falling in love during the summer of 1945 in New York City.  Marjorie and her best friend Marty Garrett take a chance for the summer.  They hop on a train and arrive in New York in hopes to find employment as shop girls but soon find that getting a job in New York is something many other girls are doing as well.  They take a chance and walk into Tiffany and ask for a job!  They soon find themselves as the first female pages on the sales floor at Tiffany & Co.  This book is full of history, magical memories and witty moments that make you giggle.

This is the perfect summer read!

Radishes! they remind me of my dad.

Radishes

I think that is why I eat them. My dad!

My parents live far away and I only see them a few times a year, so I eat the comfort food of my childhood. Since, I will not be seeing my dad this weekend I will be snacking on this little treat to remind me of him. I hope he has a wonderful fathers day.
I will be seeing my parents next month, they have asked me to go on vacation with them and I am very excited about it. I will be posting many photos and the crazy fun adventures we have on our little holiday away.
What favorite memory do you have of that special man in your life?

I will be guest posting on Vana's blog about my bathroom remodel, writing a book review to post next week on a fabulous book I read this month, going to the Highland Games and watching men in kilts throw stones, and playing rugby in the mud while drinking pints of goodness. There could never be too much good!
What are you doing this weekend?

Architecte d'interieur: Anne Geistdoerfer

Here is an apartment in Paris, Louvre Rivoli
I love the colour palette: grey, white, black with touches of pink and green. {hmmm, sort of like my home!}  I love the kitchen, clean and white with all the open shelving. The sunlight shining in throughout the whole apartment makes my heart sing.  The master bedroom is just perfect! love the industrial lamps with the raw rough side table, if you can see just behind the table there is a small opening ~watch the video link below~ secret room passage!
I completely adore the girls room with the simple bamboo canopy!  I just may have to create one for my guest bedroom! I see another DIY in my near future, once the bathroom is complete.

I am truly giddy with the work of Anne Geistdoerfer! What do you think?
