DESIGN: Perfect Combination is right!

The home of Suzanne Dutton and her partner Kris Torma is absolutely
one of my favorites!  The easy mix of mid century modern and country chic.  I love the open floor plan of the house, designed by Architect Walter Burley Griffin.  I really love this house! All the special little touches from the stone eggs at the red front door to the beautiful tree wall covering by Elitis, oh must mention the pretty thonet chairs painted white! AND Look at the completely sweet pillow case, "Here you will dream of endless kissing." Sweeeet.
What is your favorite bit?

ADVENTURE: Abandoned Sites 2

Maison Heinen
Large farming house located in a small village in northern Luxembourg.
I enjoy searching for images taken by Jean-Claude Berens. His eye for beauty in the run-down, abandoned spaces is amazing. When I was young, I would visit abandoned site wishing to do it more now. Seeing these amazing images is bringing it all back. The danger, the undiscovered, the forgotten.
His passion has been published! I need this book!!

This house is an example of such beauty left behind.

HEART: Music

system designed by Achille Castiglioni
1965
I love music!
Always have, Always will. It is on in my house almost 24/7. It makes me feel alive. I listen to all types of music from Linkin Park to Godsmack to Alanis Morissette to Muse to U2 to Dream Academy to anything that strikes my heart.
The list goes on and on....... I do need to get a sound system for my house.  I saw this beautifully design Brionvega! It does it all: vinyl, cd.... it all baby! You spin me round!!
It's it just stunning, and oh so perfect for my house BUT way out of my price range!

So I was also looking at this system, the Bose iphone docking system:
I need to do a bit more research on this docking system, see if I can add more speakers wirelessly throughout the house with this sysem.... has anyone used this system before? Please let me know what you use would love to hear any info you are willing to send my way:)
then this morning I read about this system in the paper: Pioneer XW-NAV1K-K.  again if anyone has any really cool system in their home, please share.

Well, off to go play some really load music!
