HAPPY HALLOWEEN: Spooky graveyard

 It's Halloween weekend, and I am off work today! yeah!
I have a list of things to do: 

• remove screens and clean then store them. 
• plant more bulbs for the spring
• study for my LEED exam!! all weekend
• Friday night out with the girls
• Saturday night Halloween party in my old neighborhood
• catch up on my favorite blogs :)
• Sunday relax! and study!

It it beautiful out and I am enjoying the bit of sunshine, even though it is a bit chilly out and I am wearing a sweat shirt while gardening.  But I don't mind.....well, let me get to these fabulous photos!! My neighbor, Ken who lives one street over sets up every year for Halloween, completely awesome! right!!  He adds to the collection of props every year and it just gets better and better.  He should be a set designer; he made all the props himself! He even took the photos with his rocking new camera! This Olympus SP-800UZ digital takes fabulous photos at night! I love how he captured the full moon in the images! especially the witch.

I really don't decorate my home for Halloween, so it is fun to see the neighbors homes all done up.  I have to say Ken's is the best of all the homes in the neighborhood!

I am almost complete with my bathroom renovation. I hope to be posting next week, just waiting for a few items to be installed (medicine cabinet, lighting, and vanity) and purchase a key item (shower curtain, any suggestions out there??? something simple and clean

Autumn Storms and flying time

I can't believe it is October already, OCTOBER!! Storms are blowing through, leaves are floating and falling from the trees. I have been collecting leaves for my sister in California, I try and send a box full every year!

While walking today, I have been thinking of how my life is going this year..... and I realize, it's going way to fast!    Time flies when you get older..... I never thought it would but it does. It's 2010 October!! This year has flown by at record speed.  

So, I have decided that I need to make a list of what I would like to do each year. Easy, 5 things that I have never down and just do them!

Over the next week, I will be thinking of what I need to accomplish by 2011 October.

Monday: I am back!

It's been a while, sorry!  
Didn't realize I would be taking so much time off of blogging.  I have had so much to do; catching up with work and the gut renovation of my bathroom which is almost complete. I will be posting soon, I promise.  My house is a complete and utter wreck! 


I have work off today just to clean, garden (winterizing the yard) and catch up on life. Also, being with my pup she was a bit traumatized, over the weekend some nasty little white fluffy dog, attacked us and sass was bleeding everywhere. At least the white fluffy  dog was smart after his surprise attack went back through the fence or Sass would have had a fluffy tasty treat, I have never seen her so pissed before!!
So, I have been a bit busy.


Lots of plans this week:

1. I hope to be planting my bulbs next weekend, getting the yard cleaned up today to have everything all ready for Saturday planting if it is cold enough.  The weather has been really strange, hot cold hot cold...... Come on already, I am ready for Autumn! Love the cool crisp air! The changing of the leaves and the smell of fires burning.
2. Finish painting the bathroom: see photo above!! the colours are gorgeous! My ceiling is that table cloth colour! 
3. FInish installing the floor tile and then set all the plumbing! 
4. Drink wine with the girls and have a wonderful "girls night"
5. talk my cousin, who is like a sister to me to fly up for a weekend of girl fun!! Candice please come up! we will have so much fun.
6. Catch up on all my favorite blogs!!!!!!!!!!! miss you all so very much!

How have you all been???  I promise, I am back.  
I am working on posting on a regular schedule again, hope you are all doing well!
