In 1919 born in London, raised in Paris
was a prisoner for 3.5 years during WWII
then met Henri Cartier-Bresson at the opening of the
Matisse Chapel in St-Paul-de-Vence
lured to New York by Alexei Brodovitch
he photographed commercially for
Harper's Bizarre, Vogue, House Beautiful and Elle
In the 1970's started his own work, still life
{totally gorgeous!!}
so happy he did, just look....
