I have been trying to figure out what my next project is going to be before the weather turns cold and I become a hermit in the snow.
I need a place to store my wine, craft stuff and clean laundry area. So, I was thinking of building out part of my basement. I sketch free hand a lot but this time, I tried this really cool online tool at mydeco. The above image is the area of my basement that will be built out that I created using this tool. You just have to set the dimensions, select the wall thickness and ceiling height and the 3d image begins to take shape. You then can troll through options such as furniture, rugs and even wall colours. Once, you save your creation they will render your 3d drawing and email them to you when it's ready.
You can create 3d spaces as above, really fun inspiration boards {similar to polyvore but for interior design!} and you can decorate a photograph. I have been having a lot of fun using this online and hope to do more.
