DIY: herb tea tins!

House and Home, DIY Herb Tins
I have a huge herb garden in the front of my house, and a smaller herb garden in the back which is mostly vegetables and flowers. I am always running outside to snip fresh herbs which I don't mind doing since I know it's fresh and gets me out side.  But I saw this great DIY project idea to share for those of you who don't have the luxury of a garden like myself.
If you need tins, a great source is "China Town" in your area.... they have great little shops that sell tea in tins here in the states.  I have wonderful tins from Russia and China (I actually, have the one the model is touching in the photo) The graphics and colours are fun and colourful.
Let me know if you do this fun DIY.  I may just do a few for my window sill....
Have fun!

  1. Love this idea, just wondering about root rot in the tin...I collect them too so it would be such a cute way to bring them inside.
