SOAP BOX: products and what's in them

Today, I am going to talk about safety and being healthy while still having a clean home. I have been cleaning my home in a non toxic way for a very long time.  I suffer from asthma and cleaning products set me off down a path of gasping for breath, even at work..... they know not to use harsh chemicals around me. (they are 65% green! yippy! getting there)
It completely baffles my mind that people use harsh products to clean and sanitize their home, their children's toys and even the kids!
Hello, how many people use antibacterial products on their children?
Well, did you know that most antibacterial products contain Triclosan? It can disrupted sex and thyroid hormones essential for normal development and reproduction, and can cause resistance to antibiotics (medicines, for another day!! just one word: overused)
You take that antibacterial wipe and wipe a toy that now your young son or daughter is going to stick in their month! or you wipe their hands, then they pick up their food to digest along with the flavor enhance of chemicals you just placed on their hands!

As most of my friends know about me, they now three things:

• I eat very healthy, organic foods as much as possible
• I clean my house, completely green!
• I hardly ever, use prescriptive medication.  I am very natural in my remedies and go the holistic route and only if very sick use prescriptive medication, which by the way is extremely rare.  I haven't been sick in over 10 years

 I have a solution for you, a product that is a disinfectant that is safe around you and your family:
Tea Tree Oil, also know as Melalueca.

This oil is good for cuts, scrapes and is just the perfect little first aid in a bottle.  I also dab it on a blemish before bed!
